Assessment
In order for student to get an A: students are able to do all three
major steps of feet dance fluently (a, b, & c)
In order for student to get a B: students are able to make the first two
major steps (a & b) fluently.
In order for student to get a C: students are able to make at least one
of the major step (a or b or c).
Homework
Students should go over three major steps by themselves and prepare to
perform in class next time in their own way.
Cross-Curriculum
Standards
The corresponding music will be played while students are dancing. In
this case, students can incorporate dance movements to the rhythm provided by
music and practice basic counts toward the music. This helps enhance the
connection between dance and music.
Differentiation
For students with special needs, maintaining a fair and healthy balance
of structure and unstructured process is important. Hence, for those students
coming to class, they will learn three parts of steps (a, b, & c) with 55%
accuracy by learning at least 6 steps in total to get an A.
Technology
· For visual leaners, they can also find these basic
movements through Youtube or other video platforms to furtherly learn it at
home.
· For tactile leaners, touching to the leg which it’s
going to move before making the movements is a good way to remember steps.
·
For auditory leaners, I will put on some light music
while I am teaching the warm-up and also, I will put on the corresponding music
while teaching steps dance.
Written
Component
Students should be able to write their reflections or comments toward
this lesson after class.
Career
Skills
These basic dance movements on feet which students have learned in class
will provide them a basic concept about the popular dance, which might be
helpful for them as a preparation for their future career path as a dance
teacher.
